چکیده

Solution electrospinning is a facile method for the production of nanofibrous meshes. Here, we present syringe-jacket heat exchanger as simple add-on solution electrospinning, which enables spinning from various solvents by direct and precise temperature control between ?20 °C 100 °C. An effective manipulation solvent evaporation rate enabled adjusting temperature. Exemplarily, investigated poly(vinylidene fluoride)-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-HFP) in pure dimethylacetamide (DMAc) or acetone representatives low highly volatile solvents. Electrospinning these solutions not possible at ambient conditions, either due to too high rate. However, find that PVDF-HFP nanofibers can be successfully electrospun DMAc 75 ?19 We show first time use an active cooling such acetone. The ability precisely adjust during offers improved process broadens spectrum spinnable compositions. Especially prospect replacing toxic with less-toxic opens up wide field application produced fibers.

Dispersity and spinnability: Why highly polydisperse polymer solutions are desirable for electrospinning

We develop new criteria that describe the minimum concentration limits controlling the spinnability of dilute and semi-dilute flexible polymer solutions with high molecular weight and varying polydispersity. By asserting that the finite and bounded extensional viscosity of the solution is the key material property determining the stability of a filament during spinning, we propose a new scaling...

the study on electrospinning of nanofibers from sodium alginate and the effects of different co-solvents on electrospinning of polymer solution

in the past decade, electrospinning as a facile and effective means in producing nanofibers with diameters ranging from microns down to a few nanometers has been developed and considered important. in this work, electrospinning of an interesting natural biopolymer, sodium alginate, has been investigated. the results showed that water solution of sodium alginate cannot be electrospun into nanofi...

Giant planet formation from disk instability ; cooling and heating

We present the results of high resolution SPH simulations of the evolution of gravitationally unstable protoplanetary disks. We report on calculations in which the disk is evolved using a locally isothermal or adiabatic equation of state (with shock heating), and also on new simulations in which cooling and heating by radiation are explicitly modeled. We find that disks with a minimum Toomre pa...

Cellulose regeneration and spinnability from ionic liquids.

Ionic liquid solutions of cellulose or dopes can be spun into Lyocell-type textile fibers by dry-jet wet spinning. An extruded dope is drawn over an air gap into water, where the water hydrates the ionic liquid and cellulose is regenerated. Spinnability studies have concentrated on the deformation and failure modes in the air gap and thus the rheology of the unhydrated spinning dope. Herein, a ...

Solubility of Cis, Cis-Muconic Acid in Various Polar Solvents from 298.15 K to 348.15 K

The present work concerns with an investigation on the solubility of cis,cis-muconic acid dissolution in different polar solvents by characterizing and modeling the dissolution as a function of temperature. Water, ethanol, 2-propanol and acetic acid have been investigated as solvents in the range temperatures from a 298.15 to 348.15 K. Owing to the absence of cis,cis-muconic acid solubility...
